Customized Full Broadcast Epoxy Systems
Our company revives old and bare concrete garage floors to a decorative chip 100% solids based epoxy system. Customize the colour, protect your investment and make your garage useable space all year round.
We are also fully insured for your peace of mind!
Epoxy garage floors require diamond grinding floor preparation. This profiles the concrete for the epoxy treatment which ensures maximum adhesion occurs. Once grinding is complete we patch and repair all cracks and pitting that might be found on your concrete.
We start off immediately with a primer coat. This prepares the flooring for subsequent layers and provides for a higher build. Primers will also help with resistance to moisture for those cement floors that are somewhat susceptible to it.
Upon curing of the primer coat, the base coat is applied. This coat will also receive the application of colored decorative paint chips, that are 100% customizable. This process adds density and texture to the finished floor.
At Mygaragefloor.ca we go the extra mile to apply a final clear topcoat that will give it a beautiful finish as well as added UV protection, chemical resistance and prevent chipping.

We believe that a full broadcast treatment - meaning applying approximately 50 lbs of paint chips on a typical 2 car garage is the best way to go for garage floor coatings. The full broadcast adds years of life to the floors due to the added thickness of the paint of chips along with the topcoat layer.

Floor Maintenance Procedures
Day 1
Do not walk on your new garage floor. We keep a secure plastic sheet to cover outdoor elements
Day 1 - 2
Keep your garage door open as much as possible in order to allow for air circulation. You will be able to walk with light foot traffic, but do not place heavy items on the floor.
Do not drag heavy or sharp items across the floor at any time. Your new garage floor coating is a hard surface and will endure a lot, but dragging heavy or sharp items across the floor will gouge or scratch the floor during its life cycle.
Day 3
Leave your garage door open as much as possible in order to allow for air circulation. At this point, you will be able to
After 5 -7 Days
Regular use can start to occur, continue to carefully place items without dragging heavy and sharp items.
Always be cautious around your Floor
The surface may become slippery under certain conditions, including, but not limited to, exposure to wet, oily or greasy conditions. During winter, ice can build up if drainage is not adequate, it is best to squeegee out puddles of water. Consider adding a runner for walkways to and from car to your door, if slippery. Always exercise caution while on your floor.
Protect your floor
Your floor may be damaged by grease, oil, gasoline, transmission fluid or battery acid. These elements can cause the coating to dull in areas where spill or exposure occurs. To avoid such damage, ensure you regularly clean your floor and avoid the use of harsh chemicals or scrubbing/buffing machines.
The topcoat is scratch and impact resistant under normal conditions. The topcoat will, however, scratch and/or chip if heavy or sharp objects are dropped onto, dragged or slid across the floor. General care and caution should always be exercised.
To ensure against staining, any rusty metal items require protection between the floor coating and the metal item.
Other potential issues
Concrete cracking, heaving, shifting, popping, settling or ground movement can also damage your floor. These issues are not related to floor coating installation and are not included in our warranty.
Aggregate pops may occur in the concrete when moisture pushes the aggregate up and out of the concrete. These pops are unavoidable when this happens and are not included in our warranty.
While application of the floor coating system greatly increases protection from water and moisture intrusion, it is not intended to be a waterproofing solution. Shifting and moving of the precast concrete may occur. Mygaragefloor does not guarantee against water leakage or intrusion to areas below precast concrete or the actual surface coated. Moisture intrusion, hydrostatic pressure or other moisture-related issues are not included in our warranty. These may be repaired for an additional charge.
